Došao je red i na to da napišemo osvrt za Grand Prix Velika Gorica iz perspektive Magic Omensa. GP Velika Gorica se održao 7. i 8. 5. u Osnovnoj Školi Eugen Kumičić u Velikoj Gorici i bio je najveći tabletop gaming event koji smo do sad imali prilike organizirati. Taj je vikend na eventu sudjelovalo preko 400 igrača iz svih većih gradova Hrvatske (Pula, Osijek, Zadar, Split...), te puno natjecatelja iz okolnih država i ostatka Europe.
Zahvaljujemo se ovom prilikom i našim suorganizatorima Udruzi Talus i game shopu Carta Magica. S njihovom pomoći smo održali dva dana prepuna igranja, druženja i velikih natjecanja u Magic: the Gatheringu, Yu-Gi-Oh! i Warhammer 40k. Oba dana su imala live streamove na našim Twitch i Youtube kanalima gdje su igrači iz cijelog svijeta mogli pratiti što se događa na turnirima.
Subota - Sealed MTG i YGO Regionals
Prvi dan eventa je počeo odmah u punom zamahu! Glavni eventi su bili Magic the Gathering sealed turnir s 83 natjecatelja i Yu-Gi-Oh! Regionals s 74 natjecatelja. Oba turnira su bila jako kompetitivna i trajali su cijeli dan, uz pauze za ručak naravno, do večernjih sati kada su se iznad većine izdigli 8 najboljih igrača svake igre. Oni su odigrali kratki turnir da se dokaže tko je stvarno najbolji kroz ždrijeb od tri runde.
Paralelno s ovim borbama titana, od jutra su se održavali sporedni eventi za više opuštenu igru te slobodni stolovi s društvenim igrama u organizaciji Udruge Talus. U to smo mi, kao i naš suorganizator, imali štandove s opremom za igru te pojedinačnim kartama gdje smo imali priliku popričati i provesti neko vrijeme s našim kupcima koje inače ne vidimo tako često u Zagrebu.

Nedjelja - Modern MTG i WH40k turnir
Drugi dan je počeo jednako kao i prvi samo što smo ovaj put svi bili spremniji za val igrača koji dolaze. Za razliku od subote, u nedjelju su glavni turniri bili Modern turnir sa 78 natjecatelja u Magic the Gatheringu i Warhammer 40k turnir od 2000 bodova po igraču. Svi deckovi u top 8 na Modern turniru su bili različiti što pokazuje raznolikost u meti kao i kvalitetu pojedinih igrača da s određenim deckovima dođu do tih prestižnih top 8.

Kao i dan prije turniri su trajali cijeli dan i oni koji su se uspjeli probiti do vrha su stvarno imali zašto biti ponosni. Nedjelja je privukla više igrača od subote koji su uz ove turnire došli igrati casual igre i board gameove. Posjećenost oba dana je nadmašila sva očekivanja i posjetitelji su bili vidno zadovoljni s ponudom igara i turnira!
