I honestly think this really glosses over substantial difficulties and costs to resin printing.
1) I wouldn’t run a printer in a “dedicated room” that shares any HVAC with your living quarters. Drywall will not really block vapors and there’s no vapor barrier between rooms in most North American houses unlike the exterior wall. Even then, the fumes will, without fail, go through your air return and into the rest of the house. I don’t care how good your grow tent ventilation is, they’re getting into the rest of the house in some capacity.
2) You will go through crazy amounts of gloves, paper towels, IPA, and respirator cartridges. No one ever talks about the respirator cartridges cause I think they just never change them which is doing nothing for you – a 3M 6000 series respirator cartridge is only good for about 8 – 10 hours of use and they’re extremely expensive to replace.
3) In cold climates you will need you printer AND cure stations heated. If you try to UV cure in 0 Celsius or below like I did you’ll be shocked to find it literally might just not work. I tried to cure a 28mm mini for 40 minutes and it did not properly cure. Only once I got it heated did it cure (took like 5 mins). Due to this your upfront costs to make an actually insulated (eg, at least R value 12 but ideally more like 20+) cabinet with ventilation and the whole shebang is going to be extremely costly and annoying. Further you’ll now need to run, at minimum, a 250 watt (but ideally more like a 500 watt) heater in them. This drastically drives up the electricity costs for printing. Depending on your region of course – for me on peak hours to run a 500 watt heater for 8 hours will cost around a dollar.
4) These models you’re printing actually cost money to buy. You aren’t just going to find a free warhammer army’s worth of mini STL files out there, you’re going to have to pay for them.
5) The disposal of your waste is a massive pain. “Leave it out in the sun to evaporate”. Okay cool, I live in a country where it’s either winter or rainy all but 6 – 8 weeks of the entire year. So I’ll just store huge sealed vats of space occupying and dangerous chemicals until then. Fun hobby.
Ultimately, to me, I gave up on 3D printing. I think a large number of people who say it’s easy aren’t really doing it safely.

ICC SERVICES SAVED MY ASS:
For many people and businesses, navigating the often-dangerous landscape of financial loss can be an intimidating and overwhelming process. It is always advisable to exercise caution and diligence when investing or transacting with Bitcoin to avoid falling victim to scammers. If you are a victim of a carefully orchestrated fraud, contacting ICC recovery service is the best retrieval measure to take to limit further damage. They specialize in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and recovering lost crypto assets from all types of scams and online thefts. ICC Recovery Services recovered 10 BTC stolen from me by a fake investment platform with minimal consulting fees. However, it is important to note that the vast majority of Bitcoin scams are difficult to recover due to their decentralized and pseudonymous nature, especially when liquidated. This is why ICC Recovery Services is the industry leader in recovering stolen assets from binary options scams, cryptocurrencies, forex and Ponzi schemes due to their excellent track record and tireless support to victims. They have countless references in their ranking and based on my experience with them, I can confirm that they are the best choice for you. If your situation is similar to mine, please use the email below to get in touch with a specialist in recovering funds after cyber-attacks.

I think a pretty big ‘con’ that’s been left out of this article is how 3D printed models are perceived by other players – in a lot of instances where the models you need can change almost week by week (think Dungeons & Dragons) then it makes way more sense to print your own for a cheaper price.
On the other hand, showing up with a 3D printed Warhammer 40K army might not go down too well with players that’ve invested hundreds of pounds / dollars / euros into their own armies using official models.
